Nanay

9/5/2014

My mom is a woman of short stature, had no university degree and was born out of poverty. Despite these odds stacked against her she was able to rise up to the challenge and turned Php50.00 capital to build her own little empire.

She owned and ran five sari-sari stores, two tailoring shops, a copra farm, a boutique, a tailoring shop and at one point a gold mine in Paracale. No small feat if you consider the many that would just wallow in pity under put under the same predicament.

This Mother's Day I pay tribute to my supermom, Rosita Jacob. Thanks Nanay for everything you have give us. We may have lost all the mini empire you have valiantly put up but lessons of your conquest are alive in my being and is my guiding light!

I love you!
